Job Description Position Overview
If you’re looking for a career in events this is a one in a million opportunity! This is not the run-of-the-mill internship. As our Event Coordinator, you will dive into the nitty-gritty of event production, learn at a breakneck pace, make real decisions and assist with large-scale events. We find and hire the most talented and passionate candidates and give them serious responsibilities. It’s crucial for you to work closely with the Special Events Manager and event production team to plan and execute the most successful events in our industry. Ideal candidates will be motivated to get results and have a “take the reigns” mentality.
General Responsibilities
- Assist Special Events Manager in planning and executing large-scale festivals
- Reach out to contract and engage with local vendors in assigned markets
- Create and manage list of vendors for each event location based on research
- Organize and monitor event timelines and ensure deadlines are met
- Initiate, coordinate and/or participate in all efforts to publicize event
- Manage correspondence with vendors
- Assist all departments in the company (i.e. corporate clients, marketing, media relations, sponsorships)
Qualifications Qualifications
- 2+ years experience and a proven track record planning and managing successful events
- Works well independently but also collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams
- The ability to successfully handle multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing under tight time frames in a fast paced environment
- Experienced and comfortable with cold-calling potential vendors
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and leadership skills
- High-energy, outgoing, “can-do” personality
- Bachelor degree preferred or equivalent experience

Duration : 6-month contract
Location: New York City or Chicago, IL
Compensation: Competitive with market
