Holly Springs Site Description:
• US-based influenza vaccine production facility leveraging novel cell culture-based manufacturing technology as a vital alternative to traditional egg-based influenza vaccine production
• Our site is designed to provide 150 million adjuvanted doses of pandemic influenza vaccine within six months of declaration of an influenza pandemic
• Commercial output of seasonal flu vaccine from the Bulk and Fill Finish facility is planned after expected licensure in 2014
• The manufacturing facility includes more than 430,000 gross square feet of space
Communications Internship:
The Communications department develops internal communications for the Holly Springs site and locally implements global and divisional communications. We support site initiatives through the creation of promotional campaigns utilizing multiple types of media, including email blasts, posters, videos, and visual boards. The department also leads community outreach and cultural programs at the site.
We seek a self-motivated individual to support the Communications and HR departments with multiple projects related to the development of communications material and tools. Key projects include:
• Redesigning the Holly Springs intranet, SharePoint, and eCampus websites to ensure content is robust, current, and complementary
• Working with the Project Management department to develop visual content and messaging for use in site tours
• Under limited supervision, creating PowerPoint presentations, announcements, and posters to support internal communication initiatives
• Assist in the planning, coordination and implementation of small-scale site-wide events such as summer socials, milestone events and site teambuilding activities
• Assisting with the design and coordination of events for the 2014 intern program
• Working with HR to develop a written policy for the new employee engagement program
• Serving as photographer during site events
Minimum requirements
• Seeking currently enrolled rising juniors or higher
• Communications, Hospitality, Business, or Marketing majors preferred
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Strong verbal and written skills required
• Basic Photoshop skills required, advanced skills preferred
• Previous experience designing and editing web pages a plus
• Attention to detail a must
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) required
• Ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable, and able to work under limited supervision
