Chic Rattle & Roll Boutique on Wheels – Hoboken, NJ
We are New Jersey’s first fashion truck “Boutique on Wheels” and we are getting ready for the upcoming spring and summer season, our second year in business. We are currently looking for two exceptional interns to join our team and manage all of our events. Our boutique on wheels operates exactly like a typical retail store and all employees are expected to be outgoing, personable and hardworking sales associates. Responsibilities include:
1. Driving the truck to and from events. This is mandatory as you must learn to drive the truck on your own after proper training. All employees are covered under company insurance policy and expected to drive the truck to and from all events.
2. Sales & Event Management:
a. During each scheduled event, all employees must arrive to events at designated set up time. There are no late acceptations or sick days, our company pays to attend these amazing festivals and events, and all employees are expected to attend all of the events you are scheduled for.
b. All employees are expected to follow the specific timeline given for each event (i.e. arrival time to pick up the truck, event set up time, event start time, event close time, return to drop off truck).
c. Employees are expected to clean and organize the boutique before and after every event. Merchandising is a very important aspect of this role as our space is small and must always be organized and presentable.
d. Sales Expectations: there will be a sales goal set for each and every event and all employees are expected to do their best to reach the goal number.
3. Having Fun! Our business and the fashion truck industry is a world of excitement and fun. We love for our team members to enjoy themselves while being at these events however, we must always remember we are a business in a competitive world of fashion trucks and our reputation is very important. While having fun is always welcomed, our employees are expected to be polished and professional sales associates while working in our boutique.
Requirements:
Potential candidates are required to:
1. Reside in the northern NJ area for the spring/summer season as accessibility to and from events is very important
2. MUST have a valid US driver’s license
3. MUST be comfortable driving the truck! We were all new to this but learned very quickly and it became second nature. This is one of the most important requirements so please do not apply if you will not be comfortable driving the truck to and from events.
4. MUST be outgoing and personable and love talking to people- you will meet so many awesome individuals on the job and this position requires fun, outgoing and personable individuals to manage all events.
5. MUST be organized and on time to all events, there are NO sick days as all events are scheduled well in advance.
6. MUST be able to work weekends, we generally have at least one event every weekend and weekends are a must in our company.
7. MUST be available for training in early April, local college students are welcomed and encouraged.

Currently, we are offering college credit hours with potential for hourly salary following internship opportunity. All un-paid interns will be treated with an expense account for each working event to cover meals, drinks etc., and all employees will be offered a generous discount on our amazing merchandise.
