SPOKESPERSON / EDITORIAL PRODUCER Mutual of Omaha

SPOKESPERSON / EDITORIAL PRODUCER
Mutual of Omaha

The Spokesperson / Editorial Producer will serve as the Tour’s media representative, Blog Editorial Producer, and keep interviewees organized during each tour stop. You are extremely well-spoken, dynamic, creative, highly motivated, exceptionally organized, social-media savvy, energetic, positive, and fascinated by learning about every person you meet. You can juggle multiple responsibilities in a fast paced environment and deal with problems as they arise in a calm & collected way, all while wearing a smile.

Responsibilities of this position include:
• Spokesperson: as the Tour rolls into each town, the Spokesperson / Editorial Producer will be the face of the Tour and will represent Mutual of Omaha and the Tour during all local media interviews including print, radio, television, etc. Our PR company will handle all pitching/outreach prior to the crew’s arrival into each city.
• Blog Producer:  A huge component of traveling with this Tour is documenting the journey itself on our tour travel blog. You’ll document the aha moments found during AND outside of set filming hours by producing video/photo/written content, and showing the adventures/people/places from your travels on the road. Although the entire crew is expected to contribute, the Blog Producer will be responsible for creating & managing the Blog’s editorial calendar, as well as making sure all deadlines are met. This will require the crew to work as a team to create a compelling & creative Editorial Calendar and meet strict deadlines. Blog production will involve all crewmembers filming, writing, editing, and/or posting on the blog after each scheduled filming day ends.
• Social Media Manager: The Editorial Producer will collaborate with the team to help manage the Tour’s presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and other social outlets. This position will be responsible for making sure all outlets are updated on a regular basis.
• Assistant Producer/Director: When necessary, fill in for the Content Producer during interviews that take place inside the studio (with a set list of questions, but should also able to improv and go “off script” when it makes sense).
• Community Outreach prior to the Tour’s Start Date:  Based on research our team has compiled for each city, the Spokesperson / Editorial Producer will work to build relationships with community leaders and locals in each Tour City during the months of February through April. This work will be billed hourly.

Requirements:
• Available part-time, hourly during the months of February through April.
• Available for approx. 3-5 days for a test shoot in March 2014.
• Available to travel full-time from May through August (100% travel).
• PR or Journalism Background. Writing samples. Reel or videos showing on-camera presence.
• Extremely organized, detail oriented, professional and personable.
• Social media savvy.
• Fascinated by human-interest stories.
• Loves to travel, energetic and easy-going; works well with a team in high-stress situations.
• Experience in film production (filming/editing) and blogging a huge plus.
Compensation will be based on experience and will be a flat rate for the approx. 3-month Tour.

Please send your resume, writing samples, reel, and a cover letter detailing why you would love to be a part of this project to ansley@seesparkgo.com.
