Responsibilities:
The Calvin Klein Internship Program is designed to provide students with an opportunity to experience first-hand the operations of this iconic New York fashion house. With opportunities in all divisions of business including Design, Public Relations, Buying and more, Calvin Klein interns have historically pursued full-time careers in their internship focus areas. Additionally, the program places a strong emphasis on Corporate Social Responsibility; students contribute to the brand on many levels, including participation in corporate community service initiatives.
The internship program operates over the course of three semesters every year: Spring, Summer and Fall. Spring and Fall interns participate in the program for academic course credit through their college or university. Summer interns are paid hourly and commit to a full work week. All students work in-house at our Midtown Manhattan corporate offices.

Special Events
This internship is designed to provide a thorough understanding of the operations of the Special Events team, as well as an overall knowledge of the workings of the Public Relations department and its role within Calvin Klein, Inc.’s Global Communications team. Intern responsibilities include:
Assisting with updating contact information, sending event invitations and tracking RSVPs through the Fashion GPS database.
Researching new restaurant and venue openings for potential use at upcoming events
Providing support to the Special Events team on site during events
Managing and organizing the Special Events closet
Assisting with the coordination of charitable donations
Updating documents and department binders for invoices, product donation logs and restaurant/venue information
Tracking inventory and coordinating send out and return of staff uniforms for events
Coordinating supply send outs and returns for international events
Communications
Throughout the course of the program, there will be exposure to all areas within the Public Relations department – including men’s and women’s publicity for Calvin Klein Collection, Calvin Klein platinum label, Calvin Klein white label, Calvin Klein Jeans, Calvin Klein Underwear, Calvin Klein Fragrances, and Calvin Klein Home; celebrity dressing; and special events – as well as the other practices within Calvin Klein, Inc. Intern responsibilities include:
Reviewing and tagging newspapers and trade papers for all Calvin Klein brand credits and mentions and circulate relevant key clips within the Public Relations department
Scanning of all weekly press coverage and compilation of the weekly global press report in conjunction with our international offices for distribution to Calvin Klein, Inc., licensees and agencies
Overseeing day-to-day management of digital and video archive (includes press, photos, and television clips)
Assisting in fact-checking written interviews and features on behalf of Creative Directors and management
Assisting in drafting celebrity wardrobing media alerts and researching pending current initiatives
Providing support for Public Relations related events (potentially including working at seasonal press presentations, spring or fall runway shows, and other events)
Women’s Collection Design
Women’s Collection designs commercial and runway collections for four seasons a year. The design process ranges from research and development to design, fabrication, and finishing. Intern responsibilities include:
Supporting the design team with draping and swatch development for presentation to senior level designers and directors
Working with the product developer on finishing details
Working with the knitwear team on specs and layouts based on vintage pieces
Communicating with vendors regarding developments
Supporting organization of vintage archive/library in office
Creating presentations with the design team for meetings with senior level directors
