Children’s Hospital Association – Washington, DC
The Association†s Public Policy Department addresses public policy issues that affect the ability of children†s hospitals to fulfill their mission of service to children and their communities. The internship for public policy will provide for a wide range of substantive duties within the department and an excellent professional experience for a student with a strong interest in public policy or health policy/management. The public policy intern would support three primary teams: Federal Affairs, Policy Analysis and External Relations.
This individual will be responsible for:
1.Assisting Federal Affairs in reviewing legislation, drafting hill materials, briefing planning, monitoring new legislation and events on Capitol Hill such as briefings and hearings.
2.Assisting Policy Analysis in research, reviewing and drafting comments on regulations, preparation for the Association†s attendance at the National Conference of State Legislatures.
3.Assisting External Relations in preparation and execution of Speak Now for Kids Family Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill, in addition to daily tasks associated with Speak Now For Kids website and social media outreach.
Our office will be relocating to Washington, DC in early May.
