HOT97 is looking for a dynamic motivated intern interested in exploring a career in Public Relations. The objective of this internship are to provide a setting in which you will grow, develop and enhance professional working skills in a fun and positive work environment. This is a collaborative environment, new ideas and innovations are encouraged. We are seeking an intern who can contribute to new media & traditional publicity campaigns.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Intern will work closely with the in-house Publicist to promote HOT97 through consumer and business-related interviews, press releases, targeted pitches, and more. Intern will hone writing, communication, and event production skills while learning how to develop targeted media lists, draft pitches, track media placements, and coordinate deliveries to key media contacts at the nation’s top newspapers, magazines, online, and broadcast outlets. Other responsibilities include assist with set up and monitor business-related interviews, gain hands on experience of writing copy and public service announcements for use on-air, and research marketing trends. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in a career in Public Relations. A love of writing and creative brainstorming are essential. This is a non paid internship
Description:
-Clipping and copying essential press clippings
-Compiling press kits & media lists
-Participating in office brainstorms
-Drafting press materials (press releases, memos and pitches)
-Possible event staffing
-General administrative support as needed

INTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
Intern must be able to commit minimum 15-20 hours per week. This is an unpaid internship. Intern must be currently attending college and provide a school letter verifying that credit will be received for the internship. All letters are verified.
