Your challenge:
The Random House Publishing Group is seeking a Publicity Assistant to join their team.

The Assistant provides administrative and project support to two publicists, as well as providing general department support when needed. This includes helping to implement publicity campaigns, managing event logistics, scheduling author travel and media itineraries, coordinating communications efforts, and creating publicity materials such as press releases and press kits.

Your profile:
The ideal candidate has a BA in public relations, English, or a related field, as well as internship or working experience at a PR agency or in a corporate PR department. Experience in book publishing is beneficial, but not required. Candidates should feel comfortable interacting with high profile authors, agents, producers and editors. This role requires strong communication, social media, and organization skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic environment.

Publicity & Marketing Assistant, Crown Publishing Group
Random House U.S.A – New York, NY

The Crown Publishing Group seeks a Publicity Assistant to join its team. This position provides an opportunity to work with all departments within Crown while handling responsibilities such as:

* Creating author itineraries
* Helping to implement book publicity campaigns and managing event logistics
* Coordinating communications efforts
* Creating materials, such as press releases and press kits, excerpt booklets and promotional materials
* Additional assignments, projects and responsibilities, as needed.

Ihr Profil: The ideal candidate has:
* a BA in public relations or a related field, as well as some relevant internship or working experience
* Experience in book publishing (preferred but not required)
* Experience with social media, SEO, web development, Google Analytics, etc.
* Experience with Cision Media Source and Photoshop (preferred, but not required)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel, including the ability to produce basic graphs and charts)
* Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment
* Impeccable attention to detail and a proactive and independent approach to work
