HR Internship at MedThink Communications – Raleigh, NC

The intern supports the HR department by participating in and assisting with benefit, employee relation and training and development support.Position Requirements

• Current enrollment in an accredited College or University obtaining human resources, business, or communications degree
• Previous internship experience preferred
• Demonstrated leadership experience/potential; college leadership experience preferred (student government, fraternity or sorority leadership role, RA, newspaper, yearbook etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Superior oral and written communications skills; excellent presentation skills
• Ability to manage numerous projects, requests, and responsibilities
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
• Strong interest in Human Resources

Position Responsibilities

Demonstrates behavior expected of a professional member of the organization, including but not limited to:

Human Resources support:

• Provides benefit support, including submitting benefit requests to third party administrator and confirming all updates are made
• Updates and maintains new employee onboarding binders and supports other onboarding programs
• Creates and updates human resources forms
• Supports training and development initiatives
• Creates HR page for Company intranet

Special Project :

Research and prepare list of all Benefits Documents that HR is required to distribute along with timeframe and process. Includes Summary of Benefit Coverages, 401K documents, Healthcare Marketplace Notices, etc. This includes current employees, former employees, and/or COBRA participants.

Participates in professional growth and development

• Attends Company sponsored in-services and/or continuing education

Participates in other activities:

• Performs other job duties as assigned
• Cross trains in other positions as requested
