THE EAST CAROLINIAN STUDENT NEWSPAPER IS
ANNOUNCING REPORTER TRYOUTS
SEPTEMBER 2ND AND 3RD, 2014

Faculty and Staff, please note and share the following information with your students as appropriate. Thank you for helping raise awareness of The East Carolinian and the unique opportunities it offers.

TEC is now looking for a few tenacious pirates to become Reporters who want to make a difference during their time at East Carolina University. No experience is necessary; just a deep desire to report the news and tell the stories of your fellow pirates. Reporters are needed to write about campus and city life, arts and entertainment and sports, all within a structured program run by a student organization at the center of what’s happening in Greenville and ECU.

There are two Reporter Tryout sessions, both of which will start at 6 p.m. sharp and last until no later than 7:30:

Tuesday, Sept. 2
or
Wednesday, Sept. 3

Students should bring a blue book and a pen. They will be given a set of facts and asked to write a brief story. Tryouts will be held at:
The East Carolinian
Self-Help Building, Suite 100*
Uptown Greenville
*The entrance is on Third Street between Evans and Cotanche.
(Across from the Pitt County Courthouse)
