Unit: Women’s Philanthropy and Constituent Development in the Division of University Advancement

Description: Challenging communications position in higher education fundraising unit. Ideal candidate will be highly motivated and efficient with excellent time management skills and professional demeanor. Intern will assist the Director of Women’s Philanthropy and Constituent Development with creating and editing content for The Women’s Roundtable website, newsletter, social media sites, and printed materials; Assist with social media efforts using various platforms including but not limited to Facebook, LinkedIn, Hootsuite, and Twitter; Write and distribute press releases at direction of Director of Development; Occasionally photograph events, people, or places related to women’s philanthropy or constituent groups; Update online board and member directories; Assist with other projects as necessary.
Internship Dates: Available beginning December 1, 2014
Availability/Time Commitment: Candidates must be willing to commit 10-15 office hours per week (between hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. M-F) to internship, with some flexibility. Limited evenings or weekends may be requested on occasion (3-5 per semester maximum) with sufficient notice.
Compensation: Unpaid. Willing to complete all necessary requirements for candidates seeking internship for-credit.
