The Greenville Guardian, a non-profit online newspaper focused on local government, politics and culture, is looking for a Spring intern. The job duties would include attending city council meetings and write articles for publication in the Greenville Guardian on a specific topic from these meetings. This opportunity will provide plenty of practice with attribution, confirming information with other sources, and quoting.
This is a paid internship, offering $50/meeting/article. No previous experience with local politics/government is required.
Interested students should contact Lisa Ellison at lisaw@greenvilleguardian.org with an explanation as to why this sounds like an interesting internship and what they hope to gain from this experience.
