The Role:

The Fillmore Silver Spring Premium Seat Sales Department is in search of a highly motivated, organized and most importantly, enthusiastic individual who is interested in working within the very heart of the entertainment industry! As an intern, you will be provided with the opportunity to learn about various aspects of the Premium Seats program for The Fillmore Silver Spring.

This is a great internship opportunity in the Entertainment field. Those interested in pursuing a career in marketing, sales, event planning or public relations are encouraged to apply.  We are currently searching for a student in a qualifying program to fill this internship position for the Fall. This internship will be based in our Live Nation administration office in Silver Spring, MD at The Fillmore Silver Spring.

This internship is an educational opportunity and does not guarantee the selected intern will be hired by Live Nation in the future, though they may be considered for subsequent employment should a related position become available. College credit will be granted in exchange for the intern’s work during the semester – this is a non-paying position.

Internship Learning Opportunities:

  • How to advertise and promote a VIP Season Seat program
  • The essentials of providing quality customer service to VIP clients
  • Techniques on recruitment of new VIP clients
  • How to field and research new leads for our VIP program
  • How to effectively manage accounts for our VIP clients

Intern Qualifications:

  • Qualified applicants must be able to learn and absorb at a fast pace with good humor and exceptional customer service
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint (Graphic Design is a plus)
  • Able to coordinate multiple work streams for on-time project delivery
  • Eager to take initiative and be proactive with new tasks
  • The ability to conduct yourself in a professional matter at all times
  • Detail oriented
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA out of a 4.0 scale
  • Must be for College Credit; no exceptions
  • Must be at last 18 years of age with reliable transportation

Internship Hours:

  • Flexible class schedule – in order to get the most out of this learning experience, must be able to participate in a mix of both administrative duties during the day and show days which include nights and weekends
  • Approximately 10-15 office hours per week
  • Approximately 2-4 shows per week
  • This internship has flexible start and end dates, but approximately runs from April/May until August/September. Please mention the length you are willing and desire to commit to in your cover letter.
