JOB OVERVIEW
Tyco Retail Solutions interns will learn to create compelling stories through the use of video, interactive graphics and animations. You will have the opportunity to write, storyboard, film, direct, edit and produce various projects throughout your internship. You will be immersed in all aspects of video and photographic communications. You will contribute to filming, production, and editing of original videos. These videos will be posted on the company website, YouTube channel and various other social media platforms in order to interact with Tyco Retail Solutions target demographic. You will be involved in all aspects of the process from storyboarding to publishing. You will work in logistics, shooting, and editing. You must be a fast learner, have a strong work ethic, and have a creative edge.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Plan, storyboard, film and edit original videos that are high quality, engaging and professional
• Perform necessary color and audio correction
• Format video for various publishing outlets
• Participate in brainstorm meetings and be willing to contribute original ideas
• Manage footage and record keeping
• Must know photography and be willing to shoot products, events, and staged photos
• Must know general lighting and green screen work.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
• Expect to graduate in Dec 2015 or Spring 2016 with a Bachelor’s in a Fine Arts program focusing on Film Production, Directing, Post Editing, or Photography
Desired Skills and Competencies:
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to self-manage and prioritize project workload
• Must be a team player
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Final Cut Pro
• Must be familiar with Video Direction and basic digital video camera equipment as well as digital sound recording
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Availability:
• Assignment starts May/June 2015.
