Prevention Partners knows that healthy places change lives. We focus on the leading health issues: decreasing tobacco use, increasing physical activity, promoting good nutrition and reducing obesity. Our products guide decision-makers to shape policies and environments that transform workplaces, schools, hospitals and clinics.
Interns are an invaluable part of Prevention Partners’ success in achieving our mission. We have several internship opportunities available for this summer. Our internships are full-time, volunteer experiences that run from mid-May – early August. They are open to undergraduates, graduates, and recent graduates.
Students interested in public health and prevention practices for students, employees and patients are able to directly work with our programmatic teams, but students don’t have to be studying these disciplines to apply. We are always glad to have students interested in working at a thriving non-profit on projects that connect their academic and professional interests. Available summer internship opportunities include:
Strategic Coaching: Lead Partner Support – Provide customer support and reporting for key partner organizations working to implement policies and environmental changes that support healthy workplaces and schools.
Strategic Coaching: Training & Content Creation – Conduct a review of Prevention Partners’ WorkHealthy America product from the perspective of customer to assess ease of navigation, organization, and available resources. Support the development of new, internal training guides based on curated best practices from staff and public health experts.
Research and Evaluation: Contribute to the development of Prevention Partners’ products. Research and create evidence-based content, tools, and implementation resources that help organization support employee health and psychosocial wellbeing. Provide support for data analysis, health informatics, and other research, evaluation, and product development projects.
We are accepting applications for summer 2016 internship opportunities online at: http://www.forprevention.org/interns. We encourage students to apply early, as openings fill quickly. We’ll make hiring decisions on a rolling basis through March.
