Prevention Partners Internships

We have a couple part-time or full-time internships open to undergraduates, graduate students, and recent graduates. Part-time interns are expected to work a minimum of 10 hours/week over a 12-week internship session to support our extensive and engaging projects. Full-time interns are expected to devote a minimum of 400 hours during the spring semester.

Interns are an invaluable part of Prevention Partners’ success. They help us address the leading health issues: decreasing tobacco use, increasing physical activity, promoting good nutrition, reducing obesity and decreasing stress. Students interested in public health and prevention are able to directly work with our programmatic teams. We also have a communications internship that students in other disciplines may want to explore. Open opportunities include:
Communications: Assist with writing, editing, and data entry tasks involving social media, media releases, file organization, website maintenance, and bulletin development. Requires strong writing ability and attention to detail. Experience with WordPress preferred. 10-20 hrs/week.
Research and Evaluation: Assist with Research and Evaluation team priorities including logistics and content for our annual Research Council meeting with key academic and industry partners; assist with annual Profile of Healthy Workplaces data report; assist with developing a publication quality report of qualitative research findings. 12-15 hrs/week.

Graduate student with experience with data analytics or qualitative research preferred.
Strategic Coaching: Provide customer customer support and reporting for key partner organizations working to implement policies and environmental changes that support healthy workplaces and schools. Assist with developing web-based trainings and writing bulletins for users of WorkHealthy America and LearnHealthy America. 10 – 15 hrs/week.
