Study Work opportunity collecting audio files-Spring 2017

Student work opportunity with College STAR
By way of context:  Through the College STAR initiative we have been building a series of online professional development modules.  These modules are freely available for faculty members teaching in postsecondary settings, feature instructional approaches that faculty members and students have found to be effective, and are designed to be very practical in nature. We want to ensure they also are accessible and useful to people with different learning profiles and preferences. Therefore, we would like to have an audio version of the text in each module.

The project:  We are looking for a graduate or upper-level undergraduate student interested in creating these audio files for the modules.  We can provide the recording materials and technical support – just need to find someone with the time and interest in reading the modules.  This will be a paid student position (either graduate assistantship for grad students or self-help job for undergrads).

You came to mind because of your work with students who, as COMM majors, might bring talent in the ability to speak clearly and effectively – and possibly find benefit in doing this sort of reading and the practice it will bring conveying information through voice. please contact Tanner Jones at JONESJOE@ecu.edu if you are interested.
