The Kellar Radio Talent Institute is held on the campus of Appalachian State University June 5 – June 14, 2017.
Additional information to know:
- This is the campus-to-career connection most students need.
- Sessions cover various aspects of broadcasting, including music radio, news, sports, production, sales, digital, IT/engineering, marketing and promotions, etc.
- All sessions are led by successful broadcast industry professionals in their areas of expertise.
- The curriculum is designed so that every student participates in every aspect of the program; there are no breakout sessions.
- The Institute is 10 intense days of learning.
- The Radio Talent Institute provides Radio Advertising Bureau sales training/Radio Marketing Professional Certification.
- The majority of students completing the Institute get a job in radio or a related field, including TV after college graduation.
- Current students, as well as recent graduates, are accepted.
- The application deadline is March 10, 2017
- Students from all universities in North Carolina and the region are encouraged to apply.
- A limited number of scholarships will be available.
