Description:
The Sunrise Broadcasting Internship experience is designed to provide students with a valuable, hands-on learning experience that will further their education and training in the field of radio broadcasting. Intern responsibilities can vary depending on the department the intern is assigned to and their areas of concentration. Departments available for interns include, but are not limited to, Promotions, Marketing, Programming, Traffic, Sales and Production. Interns will be assigned a schedule that aligns with their college requirements for credit. The schedule is subject to change during the Internship to provide a wide opportunity of exposure to opportunities. Prospective interns should be college juniors or seniors, enrolled in at least a half-time basis at a college or university in Business, Marketing, Communications, or other related field. Their participation should be undertaken for academic credit or under the supervision of their Academic Adviser.
Interns will work in a general office environment combined with some night and weekend events on location with Radio station personnel. Prospective interns should be prepared to commit to 10-20 hours per week of active participation throughout the course of a semester. Have reliable transportation. Be punctual, self-motivated, people-oriented, organized and possess a willingness to learn. Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
