Newseum Institute: Chips Quinn Paid Summer 2018 Internship/Scholarship Program

 

This program provides training, mentoring and paid internships to college juniors, seniors, graduate students and recent graduates who want to work in the news business. You’ll be placed at newsrooms across the country. They want broadcast students as well because every newspaper now has video and multimedia. It is open to all but focuses on developing multi-cultural talent to increase newsroom diversity.

 

If you are a junior or a senior of diverse background (race, religion, socio-economic background) you must apply! Applicant must be able to attend the seven-day, all-expenses-paid training (May 14-20, 2018) in Nashville, Tenn.

To apply: Include a color headshot photo, resume, a college transcript (unofficial transcript is acceptable), two letters of recommendation and an essay (200-400 words) on why you want to be a journalist/Chips Quinn Scholar.

Letters of recommendation should be submitted on official letterhead and should include the contact information of the person providing it.
