There are currently two open reporting spots on my kick-butt team of enterprising watchdog and breaking news journalists in California’s Coachella Valley. While some beat changes may happen, the openings now are for a reporter to cover two key cities in our area — Coachella and Indio. Another opening is likely going to focus on night cops and breaking news linked with another watchdog role — but that’s still to be determined. The Desert Sun is in California’s golf capital, Palm Springs. I think there’s close to a dozen golf courses within a tee of my apartment. There’s great shopping, sun, pools, great people — especially in this collaborative newsroom — and the added bonus of working with me, directly, on a daily basis. Does it get any better?
