WITN provides un-paid internships to students in the field of communications as a means to provide further training and education within a professional working environment. All interns must receive academic credit for time spent and complete a WITN/Gray Television Internship Application and Agreement forms. Interns will need to be vaccinated.
Areas of study include:
News/Broadcast Journalism: Students work in a digital environment with producers, writers, editors, reporters and anchors under the supervision of a newsroom manager
Production: Students can attain real-world experience in both studio and field production and digital editing working with studio production crew and creative services staff.
Promotion/Marketing: Student work with promotion producers / writers / videographers / editors in designing and implementing promotional marketing campaigns utilizing broadcast television and radio along with digital advertising materials and social media resources.
