FleishmanHillard – Public Relations Intern, Raleigh

Public Relations Intern, Raleigh NC

Position Overview and Responsibilities

FleishmanHillard Raleigh offers full-time, paid internships three times a year, giving participants dynamic, real-life experience and skills that will help them succeed in their communications careers in the future.

This intern position is paid and requires a commitment of at least three months.

At FleishmanHillard Raleigh, interns work side-by-side the account staff on a wide range of projects in a variety of different industries, including healthcare, technology, consumer and nonprofit. As part of a structured program, they will learn and undertake the basic responsibilities of a junior-level staffer, such as building media lists, media monitoring, performing research, writing media materials and participating in brainstorms. They will also have the opportunity to work on special projects, event coordination and media pitches. Interns are encouraged to follow through on as many stages of a project as is feasible so that they can feel a sense of ownership and achievement over their work. In keeping with the FleishmanHillard philosophy of enabling people to develop to their full potential, interns who show ability and aptitude are also encouraged, under guided supervision, to take on challenges that stretch and stimulate them.

FleishmanHillard believes a diverse team brings a wider range of personal and professional experiences and perspectives. We recognize that diversity and inclusion benefit our agency, our clients, and the communities in which we work and live. To that end, we strongly encourage applications from women, people of color, members of the LGBTQ community, veterans, and individuals with disabilities.
