Job summary

The Red Hat North America (NA) Field Marketing team is looking for a Digital Marketing Intern to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will support our cohesive regional digital marketing program encompassing paid media, including social marketing and display advertising, programmatic buys, organic social marketing, and content marketing. You will gather data and provide regular reporting of performance metrics for individual campaigns, channels, tactics, ad creative and offers, as well as the collective program against industry and Red Hat baselines and predetermined targets. Your responsibilities will include gathering and sharing insights related to target account and persona penetration, return on marketing investment (ROMI), and guiding ongoing optimization to maximize awareness, engagement, and demand for Red Hat’s offerings and solutions. As a Digital Marketing Intern, you will collaborate closely with regional and global stakeholders and across functional teams including the Corporate Marketing, Marketing Communications, Alliance Marketing, Marketing Operations, and Global Digital Strategy and Activation teams as well as the Red Hat digital agency account team. Primary job responsibilities

  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders to discuss upcoming paid media campaigns, recommendations, and optimizations to support desired outcomes
  • Monitor key metrics weekly and report on them for in-market program performance using platforms and technologies like Qlik Sense and Salesforce.com (SFDC)
  • Create unique tracking URLs and documents for performance measurement
  • Managing weekly scrum schedule with the digital agency

Required skills

  • Ability to work full-time hours during summer 2020 in the location listed
  • Understanding of paid media, including social and display advertising, programmatic buys, and content marketing tactics
  • Familiarity with standard marketing performance metrics
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
  • Determination, initiative, and the desire and ability to learn on your own
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
