Job summary
The Red Hat People (HR) Infrastructure team is looking for an HR Operations Intern to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting various HR shared services projects and tasks. You’ll gain experience in HR programs and processes across the employee life cycle including hiring, benefits, training, and more. As an HR Operations Intern, you will also have the opportunity to work with and learn from specialists in these HR-focused areas.
Primary job responsibilities
- Support service delivery and process documentation
- Provide customer support for associates in HR processes, programs, and policies
- Escalate or transfer issues as needed and respond to routine questions
- Create and issue employment documents
- Assist and participate in planning and carrying out events like group interview days and professional organization meetings
- Support employee onboarding in partnership with other HR teams
- Participate on special projects
Required skills
- Ability to work full time hours during summer 2020 in the location listed
- Solid written and verbal communication skills with a customer focus
- HR knowledge or experience
- Currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited university or graduating no sooner than May 2020
