Student Moderators at ECU RCAW
The Organizing Committee for the 2020 ECU Research and Creative Activity Week (RCAW) is presently recruiting graduate student volunteers to serve as session moderators at RCAW. Moderators are needed for oral presentation sessions on March 30 and April 1 (no kidding). Each moderator will run one slide session by loading the presentations onto the computer, introducing each speaker, and directing the question portion of each presentation. This experience will provide a nice bit of professional development for graduate students.
Each volunteer will attend a single, 30 minute training session prior to the meeting which will fully prepare him or her for moderating. Presently, training sessions are scheduled for 5:00 p.m. Mon, March 23 (PREFERRED) and Tues, March 24 (Secondary) in room 332, Ward Sports Medicine Building.
Many volunteers in previous years have enjoyed the experience and have grown professionally through it and they have added this activity to their CVs.
All interested students should please email Dr. DeVita at devitap@ecu.edu indicating they volunteer to serve as an RCAW moderator and which training session they will attend.
RCAW oral presentations sessions have greatly improved since we initiated this training program. Please help RCAW maintain its high quality of student-oriented scholarship.
