Communication Internship with East Carolina University Diabetes and Obesity Institute
The ECDOI is an interdisciplinary research institute jointly supported by the Divisions of Health Sciences and Research & Graduate Studies. The ECDOI is well known for cutting-edge collaborative research in several fields related to disorders of metabolism, including bariatric surgery, muscle insulin signaling/glucose transport, bioenergetics/exercise physiology, and pediatric healthy weight programs. The ECDOI is seeking an intern for Spring 2022 to help promote the mission and work of the Institute through social media and the website:
Successful candidate will:
- Manage and maintain social media sites – Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn;
- Complete ECU WordPress website training to maintain and update website content; and
- Collect and prepare content for social media and website with a focus on creating content to connect audience with mission and work of the institute
Skills of a successful candidate are:
- Strong writing skills;
- Working knowledge of social media; and
- Photography and copyediting skills also helpful.
This internship is paid and requires internship-for-credit. Flexible hours with some remote options.
