Graphic Designer
Summary
Graphic design and digital media are key components of promoting AMEXCAN programs, projects, and initiatives. With a graphic designer, there is an opportunity to truly grow their organization’s potential in the community. It is integral for the graphic designer to be proactive in all areas of AMEXCAN programs including health, leadership, culture, education, advocacy, and binational programs. The graphic designer is responsible for increasing the impact and visibility of the organization through media deliverables. This will be done by solidifying AMEXCAN’s brand and expanding stakeholder engagement. They are primarily responsible for AMEXCAN’s website, social media content, photography, videography, and other marketing materials as needed.
This person would serve as a member of the Communications Team and collaborate with members of that team to meet communication strategies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as a member of the Communications Team and work with the Director of Communications and the Director of Outreach to develop and execute communications and marketing materials, including publication design, infographics, data visualizations, executive-level PowerPoint presentations, social media tiles, web graphics, and development, and eNewsletter design
- Work in collaboration with the Executive Director of AMEXCAN Mexico on Spanish language publications, marketing materials, and design initiatives.
- Design digital media campaigns and associated digital content aligned with the organization’s goals.
- Use technical and typographic skills to arrange and style marketing materials, web content, logos, and relevant signage.
- Carry design and web projects from concept to completion while adhering to strict brand standards and ensuring production timelines are met.
- Monitor trends in graphic design, digital content, data visualization, and web strategy.
- Other tasks as needed.
