The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for a Recruiting Specialist to provide varied support to the recruiting coordinator and Assistant Coaches by performing specified duties related to Recruiting. This position will assist with on-campus recruitment of prospective student-athletes and collaborate with Gatorvision, Marketing, and Communications on creative content to be used for the recruitment of prospective student-athletes. Data entry, preparing electronic communications to recruits, and organization of recruiting materials are integral components of the position responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or two years equivalent experience or training
- Have an understanding of all aspects of recruiting
- Exceptional communications and customer service skills
- Detail oriented individual that possesses strong organizational skills and has the ability to prioritize multiple assignments
- Highly effective listener with impeccable verbal and written communication skills
- Must be proficient in the use of basic computer applications and working knowledge of applicable software applications including the Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, Final Cut Pro
- Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to new challenges and finding ways to solve them
- Ability to collaborate with multiple departments to best meet goals and objectives
- Knowledge of current NCAA Compliance rules and regulations (or the willingness to learn) regarding recruitment of prospective student-athletes
- Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
- Ability to work a non-standard work week which might include early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and extensive overnight travel
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in an intercollegiate or professional athletics environment
- Experience as a student-athlete or student manager in a basketball program (can qualify in lieu of work experience)
- Knowledge of the game of basketball
