Internship program is an unpaid, hands-on experience to learn the operation of a broadcast TV station.
Requirements include:
• Current enrollment in college, university or technical school.
• Documentation stating that the intern will be given credit or recognized as a necessary part of curriculum.
• A demonstrated interest in communications or a related field.

Sound View Broadcasting (SVB) offers ethnic groups around the world the opportunity to reconnect to their roots through the medium of television. We present audiences with a chance to experience various cultures through entertainment, news and community based programming.
Additionally SVB offers television broadcast capabilities, TV studios, video production, post production facilities/services and work/event spaces for domestic and international producers/broadcasters.
We want highly motivated talent – behind and in front of the cameras — for a series of brand new television shows in development for a nationally broadcast lifestyles channel.
The duties and responsibilities of an intern vary depending upon the nature of his or her interests.
Internship opportunities could include working in the following departments:
• Art Department: Intern will learn to design graphics and flash animation for station-related projects.
• Marketing-Promotions Advertising and Sales: Interns with an interest in marketing, advertising and public relations will be given hands-on experience in these areas.
• News Department: (Video Editor, Associate Producing, Field Reporter) Interns will be trained in areas of interest such as news producing, news reporting, online journalism, assignment desk, and editing.
• Technical Operations Department:
• Engineering: Students will work alongside engineers, getting involved with computer maintenance, preparing audio and video cables.
• Studio Operations 🙁 Production Assistant, Field Grip, Audio Engineer, and Camera Operator) Interns will learn how to work with the technical aspects of a live news broadcast. Some behind-the-scenes skills will include learning robotic cameras, floor directing, lighting and show set-ups.
