Hip Hop Caucus Internship

The Hip Hop Caucus Education Fund is an award-winning, national grassroots organization for the 21st century. The mission of the Hip Hop Caucus is to organize young people to be active in elections, policy making and service projects. We mobilize, educate, and engage young people, ages 14-40, on the social, environmental, and economic issues that directly impact their lives and communities. Intern assignments may include but are not limited to: data gathering and research, drafting articles, creating videos, outreach, administrative, social media assistance, event reports, grassroots organizing, or needs with program area such as field, policy or campaign work.
Internship Position (Minimum 16 hours per week)
Internship Qualifications:
” 3-month minimum commitment
” Minimum 16 hours per week
” Strong oral and written communication skills, including writing, editing and proofreading
” Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple and changing responsibilities effectively
” Strong interpersonal skills
” Experience with Microsoft Office and related programs
” Background in environmental/ green issues, legislation or grassroots organizing (preferred)
” New Media experience (facebook and twitter)
” Some video editing experience (preferred)
