Purple! Magazine, ECU’s new sports magazine, is looking for a hard-working student with feature writing skills and an interest in covering ECU athletics for the fall 2011 semester (starting at the end of August).The responsibilities include:• Assist in creating text/copy for magazine, including research, interviews, and writing• Assist with maintaining the magazine’s web site and social media sites• Assist with photography and possibly videography• Assist with the magazine’s promotional endeavorsInterns will receive media passes for access to the press box during football games and other major sporting events. To cover football games and potentially other games, some weekend work is needed. The types of topics/sections interns may be responsible for include: sports briefs, club sports and campus rec, and spirit & tradition (band, dance, and cheerleading).
