Metro Watch WPFW 89.3 FM

STATION INFORMATION
Since 1977, WPFW 89.3 FM has been providing Washington DC with commercial free world class music and programming. One of five Pacifica stations, we are dedicated to creating a pacific world in our time. We believe strongly in the full distribution of public information and in providing an outlet for the creative skills and energies of the community. Primarily listener supported, we have a small staff, and for the most part our shows are broadcast by volunteers.
Metro Watch is a daily, local news show which features artists, activists, leaders, educators, and others from throughout the region. This is one of the station’s most valuable programs, connecting WPFW’s audience with the area’s most interesting activities.
