General broadcast production position. The intern would likely experience all of the major components of what we do. We would be interested in someone with a general working knowledge that could help us both in and out of the studio. They would be exposed to camera operating, lighting, audio, post production NLE and graphics, live production, live sound, live directing and whatever else may be thrown our way. They would be a huge asset for a production like The Pulse or Coastal Gardener where a 3rd person would be predominately responsible for lighting or sound but they might also find themselves in the studio for Chairman’s Chat operating the teleprompter.
Desired Skills:
· Knowledge of Mac-based editing software (Final Cut Studio and Adobe Creative Suite)
· Knowledge of Final Cut Server environment is helpful
· Knowledge of professional audio equipment setup and operation
· Knowledge of professional lighting equipment setup and operation
· Knowledge of professional video equipment setup and operation
· Good communication and people skills
· Ability to work in a team
· Creativity and problem-solving skills
· Ability to take instruction, and work quickly and accurately
· Awareness of health and safety
· General knowledge of New Hanover County government and NHCTV
