Vela Strategic Marketing and Public Relations, a 15-person full-service, award-winning advertising / marketing / public relations / design firm in Winston- Salem, N.C., is looking for a feature writer to join its team. This person would be responsible for writing articles for clients’ in-house publications (focused primarily on healthcare and heavy-duty trucking), ghostwriting medical columns for local and national publications, and crafting and disseminating press releases.
Qualifications:
– Degree in journalism, communication, English or other writing-related field
– Writing experience – and a good batch of clips to showcase what you can do
– Knowledge of AP style
– Ability to multi-task
– The desire to work with a slightly odd group of people who love what they do and do it well
