The mission of the Marketing & Communications organization is to:

  • Drive marketing strategy
  • Develop and execute marketing and communication plans that leverage market opportunities to grow and retain assets, and strengthen customer relationships
  • Revitalize and strengthen the AB brand globally and manage brand positioning and image
  • Give AB voice and visibility in the market place
  • Strengthen AB’s relationships with investors, advisors, other intermediaries (both internal and external), and the media

The Area comprises the following operating units:

  • Investor Relations and Corporate Communications
  • Corporate Marketing & Branding
  • Line Marketing
  • New Media Marketing & Content Strategy
  • Operations & Production

Line Marketing’s role is to design, develop and execute strategic marketing and communication plans that raise the visibility and brand equity of AllianceBernstein, while also driving revenue growth and retention of the AB customer base. Marketing Managers oversee the creation of marketing programs for their distribution channels. MMs oversee campaign development and regular updating, working with Production, Product Management, Editorial and other teams on content, design, scheduling and assignment, and with Legal & Compliance for necessary approval. The candidate must possess critical thinking and strategic decision-making skills; strong project management skills; data analysis; and strong collaboration, communication, and leadership skills

 Manage projects to meet the objectives of each campaign, both employing new materials and events, and re-packaging existing ones.  Create campaign briefs in the project tracking system, including objectives, key messaging, intended audience(s), key dates, cost codes and key success metrics  Take part in brainstorming session on project approach  Secure Business and Legal & Compliance approvals  Help to ensure the verifying quality and completeness of final materials  Monitor client feedback on campaigns and materials to determine effectiveness  Conduct post-project analysis (success metrics, resource impact, lessons learned)

Candidates should be top academic performers, be interested in the investment management industry and meet the following criteria:

  • May 2013 Bachelor’s degree candidates in business, finance, economics, marketing, communications, public relations, or liberal arts
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.3 or better
  • Candidates must be able to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship (now or in the future)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with others as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented, ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent writing skills and Internet research capabilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Candidates must be available to work full-time (Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm) from June through August, 2012.
  • It is not permissible to simultaneously take academic classes or hold other employment that will conflict with the internship schedule.
