The Corporate Marketing team at Red Hat is seeking a driven recent or upcoming college graduate to support the creativity, productivity and efficiency of its public relations team through a full-time internship position. The right candidate would have a passion for supporting a high-energy team that works to simplify and amplify messages through communications with media/analysts, customer references and events. This opportunity would give an entry-level professional great experience as a cross-functional marketing and communications contributor with the potential of joining the team in a permanent position.
Responsibilities
Develop briefing books for executive media opportunities
Research speaking opportunities for company executives and experts
Identify and nominate company and products for industry awards
Produce team reports to be shared broadly across the company
Update and maintain internal team website resources and assist with external team website content
Support public relations writing projects, such as blogs and press releases
Support press events such as press conferences and virtual press announcements
Work cross-functionally with customer reference, events and analyst relations teams in support of larger projects
Requirements
Excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to share writing samples
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and jump quickly into projects
Strong team work ethic
Positive and flexible attitude
Willingness to travel ~10%
Education and Experience
BA/BS in communications, marketing or related field
Previous internship experience in communications, public relations, marketing or related field a plus
HTML experience
