The position is based at the Legg Mason Baltimore headquarters in Harbor East.
Essential Functions:*Support supervisor in the coordination and implementation of corporate volunteerism intiatives*Assist with a wide range of project management and event coordination items to support the efficient and timely operations of the department*Respond to inquiries from internal and external web mailboxes(with guidance)*Maintain up-to-date records regarding LM staff volunteering activity adn interest*Draft responses to funding requests(for management review)*Draft starter communications for intranet and employee volunteerism(for management review)*Assist management with the creation of business “decks”(in PowerPoint)*Maintain accurate and organized files for Corporate Citizenship department*Assist with various green/environmental items, as directed (e.g.content for intranet)Non-essential Functions:*Accompany supervisor to select meetings and possible on-site community visits*Assist with on-site volunteer events, if schedules permit*Additional items as requestedRequirements:*Strong interest in Corporate Citizenship*Must be pursuing a Undergraduate degree and mantainingoverall GPA of 3.0 or better*Attention to detail*Well organized*Upon instruction, the ability to work largely independent*Strong writing skills*Professional demeanor*Excellent PowerPoint skills*Proficient in social media: strong web skillsInterns must be able to commute to our Harbor East location;Must be able to work at least 15-20 hours a week. Prior internship experience or other relevant experience highly desired.EOE
