The Event Management Internship in our Football division will provide you with hands-on experience in event management. This is a great opportunity for the passionate, active and focused graduate or undergraduate student who is interested in a career in Event Management or Sports Marketing. Throughout the course of the internship, you will work closely with our Football team and assist in a variety of challenging and interesting projects. Duties will include planning and execution of multiple events, communication with event vendors, event public relations, event promotions, event research, as well as updating athlete bios, updating and creating event and public relations materials, updating databases, assisting various agents/attorneys on projects as well as general office duties and administrative services.
The position can be located in our NYC, Washington DC or Atlanta office. Ideally, we would like you to start in at the end of August/beginning of September and work for at least 20 hours per week . In order to be considered for this unpaid internship, you must be able to receive school credit and provide proof of credit.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Must receive college credit (no exceptions)
- Polished communication skills, both written and oral is key
- Previous experience in event planning is a must
- Public Relations or journalism experience are welcomed
- Extremely organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong ability to work as part of a team, demonstrate initiative, and solve problems independently
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet
