East Carolina Heart Institute at ECU-Student Event Coordinator Internship
The East Carolina Heart Institute at ECU is seeking a student intern to complete an unpaid two semester internship as a Student Event Coordinator. The duties for the internship would include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Inform prospective customers of our facility-Give tours
- Attend & work events including nights & weekends
- Recognize & recommend based on previous events the best option to the customer
- Advise the customer on caterers, parking & other questions they may have
- Help Event Coordinator schedule the space & keep other staff that are involved in the events aware of all activities
- Help maintain an Outlook calendar of events & event details
- Operate A/V capabilities of rooms
- Maintain database of all ECHI events
- Keep files completed & updated
- Help inform public of the ECHI facility & events
- Help maintain website and social media
Qualifications:
- Must have at least the academic standings of a junior
- Must have great verbal & written skills
- Must work well with a team
- Must be self motivated
- Must be reliable
- Must represent ECHI in a professional manner by following the ECHI workplace dresscode
