Editorial Assistant:
Provide articles and edit the Institute’s online newsletter. Individuals must be able to work both autonomously and as a team member. Other duties include: writing, copying, surveys and basic research. A great opportunity for someone interested in honing their writing and editing skills or wanting to learn about arts management.
Social Media Coordinator:
Create a new social presence for the Institute of Outdoor Drama by using the latest tools of technology. A Facebook account, Twitter and a blog are possibilities. Other duties include: surveys, basic research and website maintenance. This is a great opportunity to use your knowledge and skill to help this 47 year old organization get current with the times.
Attendance Survey Coordinator (Fall only):
This project is the collection of the annual attendance numbers from our 101 theatres. The survey also includes not only attendance numbers, but ticket prices, annual budgets and marketing allocations. The raw data is then sent to our analysis who prepares a report that reflects and examines the trends for all theatres nationwide. Job duties include: copying, faxing, data entry, emailing, filing and making follow up phone calls.
Directory of Outdoor Drama in America Coordinator: (Spring only):
This project is the updating of our on-line directory with the current season’s productions, dates and times. It also involves creating an in-house directory. Job duties include: collecting data, copying, faxing, data entry, emailing, filing and making follow up phone calls.
The Institute of Outdoor Drama is a public service agency of the university that is dedicated to the advancement of the outdoor drama movement throughout the country. It has 101 member theatres in 37 states.
