The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars

The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars

Customized program for faculty who accompany their students to Washington during the month of March to visit various individuals, organizations and sites for a quality educational experience.

We will give faculty more time to teach and appreciate the tour instead of worrying about many of the usual logistical and student problems that can occur.

We assist faculty in coordinating quality programming. We connect faculty and students with individuals and organizations that relate to their campus and state, such as alumni, federal representatives and media. We provide a meeting space ideal for reflection and instruction in a program headquarters. We provide access to group hotel rates and an infrastructure of support for emergency situations, student life, and other unforeseen issues.

How does it work:

Faculty contact the Washington Center academic seminars staff to set up the number of days of programing, access to hotel group rates and then sign a memorandum of understanding.

The cost is $150 per student per day of programming. There is no charge for two faculty members accompanying the students. Minimum of five students and one faculty member for each group.
