The Speech Communication Center at the School of Communication needs an intern for the Fall of 2013. Applicants should be undergraduate students within the communication field. The ideal candidate should have experience with social media in addition to public relations and marketing skills. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to maintaining the web page, posting and advertising on social media and creating a marketing campaign to help educate ECU students, faculty members, and staff members about the services provided by the Speech Communication Center. In addition, the marketing campaign will reach out to the citizens of Pitt County. The intern will work directly with the Coordinator of the Speech Communication Center, the graduate teaching assistants working at the Center, our resident technology expert, and the PRSSA. Qualifications include: excellent communication skills, knowledge of social media and websites, creativity, initiative, dependability, enthusiasm, and a fresh approach to marketing and PR.
