Full-time, Part-time, InternshipThe Field Publicity & Promotions is responsible for regional publicity and promotions for all Columbia Pictures releases. We direct a nationwide network of agencies that are responsible for local press outreach, promotions, media and event tie-ins. Filed also oversees targeted and niche marketing efforts, building awareness in the Hispanic and African-American communities. We conceptualize and execute press junkets, drawing press from across the country to participate in interviews with film talent. Field oversees added value media promotions; leveraging Media spends to create on-air integrations, stunts and featurettes featuring talent and film content. Field extends the Consumer Products Team’s National Promotional Partnership across the country via national and local media promotions. Field incorporates the Digital Marketing Strategy and their goals and objectives into our marketing efforts to bring online programs offline. Field handles the publicity, promotions and talent integration into major one-off events.

Proposed Project Profile:
Interns will observe and participate in the formation of publicity strategy and the planning of events, screenings, junkets, press days, and premiers. They will sit in on strategy discussions and offer their opinions during brainstorming. Interns will help with event logistics and sit through advanced screenings as necessary. Interns will walk talent down the press line at red carpets, and help facilitate interviews with trade press if the situations arise. Interns will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of a master publicity events calendar, keeping managers and executives aware of any significant event that justifies a film tie-in.

Qualifications
The Spectrum Internship Program’s fall session is a part-time, 20 hour/ week commitment lasting for a 15 week period from early September through mid-December. All applicants must be in good academic standing and available for the entire 15 week session.
