FC Dallas has created a unique hands on experience for students looking to gain experience in the Sports and Entertainment industry.
We are looking for bright, passionate, hard-working students to be a part of our team through our internship program. Opportunities are available in many different departments across our organization.

FC Dallas stadium is a first-of-its-kind facility located in Frisco, Texas. The complex features two major components: a 20,000 seat, state-of-the-art pro stadium immediately adjacent to a sports park with 17 championship-quality sports/soccer fields. FC Dallas is in use over 300 days per year, showcasing a wide variety of local, regional, national and international events. All internships for FC Dallas and FC Dallas Stadium are unpaid internships, and must be used to receive college credit from an accredited university. The internships allow the individual to gain valuable experience with a professional organization for their future in the sports, entertainment, marketing, and sales industries. Hours can be flexible to accommodate with your school or work schedule. Some nights and weekends will be required.

Community Relations Internship : The FC Dallas Foundation is seeking a motivated intern, who is a self-starter and who is interested in developing the relationship FC Dallas and FC Dallas Stadium has with the surrounding communities.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Managing incoming donation requests and fan mail
• Helping to facilitate the Kicks for Kids programs
• Assisting with game-day initiatives and community programs
• Supporting the Community Relations Director with the implementation of the Foundation, upcoming events and fundraisers
• Manage player appearances
• Database Management

Minimum Requirements

Database/Research Marketing : FC Dallas and FC Dallas Stadium is looking for an intern to assist the Marketing department with database management, research and reporting. The marketing intern will report to the Director of Marketing, Digital Media and assist with the day to day objectives of the Marketing department.

Job Duties to include but not limited to:
• Assist in the implementation of marketing goals and objectives
• Support database management projects and analyze data collected
• Assist in generation of surveys, data collection and analyzing of results.
• Conducts company, competitor and target market research
• Assist the marketing department on game-days to coordinate and implement marketing endeavors such as half time entertainment, in game promotions and other related duties

Digital Content Internship : FC Dallas and FC Dallas Stadium is looking for a digital content intern to assist the Marketing and Media Relations departments. The digital content intern will report to the Digital Content Editor and assist with the day to day objectives of the Marketing and Media Relations departments.

Job Duties to include but not limited to:
• Assist in creating, editing and publishing content for fcdallas.com, fcdallasyouth.com and other websites
• Monitor site traffic and analytics for fcdallas.com
• Assist in developing storylines and creating blog posts
• Assist in coverage of FCD Juniors/Youth System and DFW adult league soccer
• Participate in events, promotions, and other activities as required

Fan Service and Sales : The FC Dallas Fan Service/Ticket sales Internship was designed to give college students the opportunity to develop valuable skills and gain firsthand experience in the professional sports industry. During the twelve week program, participants will be supervised by the Director of Ticket Sales and Manager, Fan Relations for FC Dallas and Frisco Stadium. The intern will learn all aspects of the coordination and administration of Sports Marketing, Ticket Sales, Fan Service, Ticket Operations and Game Day Operations. This internship is designed for college students who require an internship to receive college credit.

Qualifications and Requirements
• Background in sales, marketing, business, customer service or communications is encouraged
• Strong communication skills; both verbal and written
• Detail oriented and enthusiastic about working within a sport-related environment
• Creative and outgoing self-starter
• Must be an active college student of at least junior year status
• Must receive college credit for an internship with FC Dallas

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assisting with daily correspondence to FC Dallas and FC Dallas Stadium guests
• Delivering superior customer service and exceeding fan expectations
• Researching customer retention strategies
• Administrative office duties including filing, organizing, data entry and mailing
• Assisting in planning and implementing special marketing events and promotions
• Working closely with sales staff to fulfill orders
• Assisting with ticket sales activities and events; including receptions; game day entertainment
• Contribute to brainstorming; planning and implementation of ticket sales plans; idea and proposals

Grounds : The intern will be responsible for assisting the FC Dallas Grounds department in all aspects of operation and facility management of FC Dallas Stadium, 17 field Soccer Complex, and surrounding landscape. This position will offer a great opportunity to work with a professional sports organization with a multi-use facility. Interns will gain valuable hands on experience in game operations, field maintenance cultural practices, and landscape techniques. Qualified applicants must be pursuing a degree in a related field of study. Availability to work nights/weekends and game days are required.

Job Duties:
• Work directly with Grounds department to ensure all game preparations, field maintenance, and landscaping is completed as scheduled.
• Assist with a variety of field setups and breakdowns (benches, goals, bleachers, banners, a-frames, sideline tarps, football uprights, turf blankets, concert floor, etc.)
• Assist with mowing, edging, weed-eating, tree trimming, plant beds, field layout and painting, field set up, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualification:

Hospitality Management Internship : The Food and Beverage Company, Legends Hospitality, LLC, for FC Dallas and FC Dallas Stadium is looking for a dependable, well organized and trustworthy intern. The Hospitality intern will play a supportive role to the F&B department for the soccer club and stadium, and will receive exposure to all facets of the Hospitality Industry in a Stadium setting. All internships with FC Dallas and FC Dallas Stadium are unpaid and must be used to receive college credit.

Job Duties Include:
• Assist the General Manager of Legends at FC Dallas Stadium and his team in the planning, organizing, logistics and operations of all events hosted at FC Dallas Stadium.
• Administrative duties including but not limited to filing, scanning documents, special projects and data entry.
• Assisting in the coordination Non Profit volunteer concessions activities and scheduling.
• Greeting and assisting Employment/Food and Beverage office visitors, clients, vendors and applicants.

Human Resources Internship : The HR department for FC Dallas and FC Dallas Stadium is looking for a dependable, well organized and trustworthy intern. The HR intern will play a supportive role to the Human Resources department for the soccer club and stadium, and will receive exposure to all facets of the Human Relations Department in a Generalist Capacity. All internships with FC Dallas and FC Dallas Stadium are unpaid and must be used to receive college credit.

Job Duties to include:
• Assisting with and coordinates recruitment efforts, which may include attending job fairs
• Administrative duties including but not limited to filing, scanning documents, special projects and data entry
• Conducting pre-screening interviews for applicants, maintain applicant log
• Source on-line applications
• Set up orientation for new interns
• Coordinating and assisting with team building and employee activities
• Assisting with college internship program, maintain current postings at universities
• Greeting and assisting Employment office visitors, clients and applicants
• File appropriate documents in employee folders, maintain files, and organize files.

International Business Development Internship : This internship will allow you to gain extraordinary hands on sports business experience by assisting and being a key member of the FC Dallas International Department under the supervision of their Sr. Director. The assistance include participation and coordination of daily departmental needs including but not limited to: assistance with the administration and logistics for our Hispanic community outreach initiatives such as; festivals, youth community clinics, school assembly visits, in store promotional events, soccer tournaments among others. Fully expected to be active in the execution of our specific Hispanic FC Dallas Game Day Initiatives and ability to attend home games is a must. Furthermore, internship could include duties in supporting with ticket sales, calling prospects creating ticket buy awareness, generation of leads thru multiple registration mechanism and accuracy in database management. Finally, internship responsibilities include assistance with sponsorship fulfillment activities.

Job Duties:
• Assist with FCD Game Day Operations
• Includes Game notes, press box set up, credential process
• Assist media with statistical questions, player interview requests, etc.
• Assist in writing Press Releases / Develop story lines / Blog posts
• Assist in creating Game Day Roster Handout and other publications FCD Hoops Nation, Enews, Freekick, etc.
• Assist in coverage of FCD Reserve Team and FCD Youth System / games at FC Dallas Stadium
• Assist with providing stories and content for FCD.net. FCD Blog.
• Attend and observe FC Dallas practices

All internships with FC Dallas and FC Dallas Stadium are unpaid and must be used to receive college credit. We have created a hands on experience for students looking to get experience in the Sports industry. Hours can be flexible to accommodate work and school schedules.

North Texas Soccer Tour : FC Dallas and North Texas State Soccer Association in conjunction with a few key sponsors have developed a mobile marketing tour that travels throughout DFW and north Texas area. We are currently looking for a students interested in participating in the execution of the tour. The tour visits approximately 50-60 events per calendar year which include soccer tournaments, league play, and various sponsor events. The tour consists of a company SUV that pulls a 24-foot trailer, a 10×10 tent and interactive inflatables. The North Texas Soccer Tour Internship will serve as an integral part of the FC Dallas strategic marketing efforts.

Members of this team will act as ambassadors for FC Dallas interacting with fans during scheduled 17 home games and at various special events including (but not limited to); player appearances, community events, media functions, nightlife appearances, and team driven events in the DFW area.
Team members will be expected to have a dynamic personality with the ability to engage the target audience in lively conversation and be able to sell FC Dallas tickets and merchandise. Members must be capable of communicating key brand messages and conversing about soccer in a knowledgeable and positive manner.
Schedule will be based around events, games, and North Texas Soccer tour dates.

Duties:
• Set up/tear down for each tour event.
• Market FCD and coordinating partners to potential customers during each tour event throughout the Metroplex and surrounding communities.
• Creating and updating database for all leads collected during tour events
• The team will be responsible for many game day servicing and sponsor promotion execution duties including; greeting clients as they enter FC Dallas Stadium, conducting fan surveys on the concourse during the game, and assisting marketing department in pre-game and halftime activities.
• The North Texas Soccer Tour Team will participate in additional off-site appearances such as community events, charitable events, media appearances, player appearances, and special events.

Stadium and Complex Operations Internship : FC Dallas is seeking a Stadium Operations/Complex Operations intern who will work directly with the Stadium Operations and Complex Management Departments to assist with scheduling, organizing and coordinating of all events at FC Dallas Stadium and complex, with an emphasis on event day logistics. Event day logistics include locker room set-up, table and chair set-up, and pre-game operations. This internship is designed to give students an overall view of the daily operations of a Major League Soccer Stadium and Complex that is in use over 300 days a year.

Job Duties include:
• Assist the Stadium Operations Department with game day operations to include set up, tear down and event management.
• Assist with coordination among other departments to ensure that all day of game set-up, giveaways, signage, etc. are met effectively.
• Help coordinate, plan, and oversee soccer events, concerts, tournaments & other special events at FC Dallas Stadium and complex.
• Facilitate any visiting team’s needs; oversee all specific requests, working with various departments to facilitate those requests.
• Facilitate requests made by front office staff, vendors, League officials and others as needed.
• Developing timelines, itineraries, and checklists prior to events.
• Assist with compliance in accreditation and parking for Staff and Volunteers.
• Coordinate pre-game events on the field in accordance with MLS rules and regulations.

Team Administration : The purpose of this internship is to assist the Assistant Team Administrator and Equipment Managers with the daily duties involved with the Major League Soccer team FC Dallas and their U-18 & U-16 Academy Teams.

Duties:
• Perform necessary & required Laundry duties pertinent to the Professional Program, Academy Teams, Coaches, & Staff needs (Gear, Uniforms, towels etc.)
• Ensure all necessary & required equipment is available for all FCD Home and Away Games for the 1st Team, Reserves and Academy sides
• Ensure that all MLS requirements & protocols are followed for all games that FCD Teams are involved
• Assist the Equipment managers with ordering, inventorying, preparation, & distribution of all equipment for the FCD Professional & Academy Programs, coaches & staff.
• Assist the Equipment managers in the necessary & timely preparation for all professional team practices (Field & Equipment)
• Assisting with the set-up of daily team practice – daily distribution of practice gear for 28 players, 5 Coaches, 4 staff members and all guest players
• Assisting with the logistics of team travel – Visa requests, team itineraries, per diem request and distribution, in-city transportation, follow-up communication with travel agents and hotels.
• Receiving, cataloging and distribution of all new incoming team gear. Preserving and cataloging all archived team gear.
