Chat Sports’ student sports journalism program has grown rapidly since its launch in summer 2012. Our 200+ writers have powered millions of page views, and have been featured on Yahoo Sports, Sports Illustrated and Fox News. So far, two of our writers have landed jobs at ESPN, while others have moved on to work for Fox Sports, USA Today, the NBA, The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel and the USTA.
The ideal candidate for our program is an East Carolina journalism student looking for an outlet to create compelling original content focused on their favorite teams. Having a portfolio of published work is more important than ever for young journalists, and we give them the opportunity to establish themselves as well as tools and support to help them improve as writers.
