Sample Coordinator-Public Relations
General Summary: The Sample Coordinator is responsible for the organization and tracking of product samples, photo shoots and press calendars. He/she collaborates with cross functional teams (Marketing, Visual, Stores) and external partners to support brand initiatives and the growth of the business.
Position Responsibilities:
•Responsible for the physical organization of the sample closet for all Aéropostale brands including; Aéropostale, P.S. from Aéropostale, Live Love Dream, and product extensions.
•Track location of samples from check in, to check out & return
•Collaborate with cross functional partners including merchandising, production, design and marketing departments
•Check the accuracy and quality of samples from vendors; track and report issues to public relations managers
•Manage sample logistics – pack, unpack, track & return to vendor as necessary.
•Prepare samples for seasonal style-outs, photo shoots and press presentations.
•Assist public relations team in department wide initiatives.
Position Requirements:
•Bachelor’s Degree
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
•Detail orientation
•Ability to multi-task & manage multiple projects and deadlines
•Strong organizational skills and passion for documentation and process
•Ability to respond positively and act with a sense of urgency to challenging tasks and deadlines
•Passion for product & exceeding internal and external customer expectations
•Self motivated team player who demonstrates self-confidence & assertiveness

•Strong organizational and project management skills
