Opportunity
The Digital Marketing team focuses on growing Blue Shield of California’s online
user base and building sustainable revenue streams.
We are seeking a Digital Marketing Social Media Intern to join our team. This
graduate-level Intern will have Social Media, Product Management and analytical
experience and thrive at the intersection of business, technology, data, and
marketing. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the online space, highly
analytical, a creative thinker, a fast learner, a clear communicator, and
embrace challenge.
This position will focus on Social Media activities targeting both internal and
external audiences. At the end of this position two deliverables will be
expected:
1) Enterprise Social Network assessment of community manager participation and
adoption strategies
2) Competitive Analysis of the Social Media space, including: SWOT, Strategic
Recommendations, and Competitive Assessment Overview
Duties include:
• Community Manager outreach, for example: nurturing , educating, and fostering
to drive adoption
• Adoption strategy and implementation
• Project analysis of post-pilot to full enterprise roll-out
• Research and documentation
• Cross-functional project team participation
Candidate Profile and Requirements
• Minimum GPA: 3.0
• 1st-year graduate student with prior Business Strategy and Social Media
experience
• Strong product management skills
• Demonstrated organizational and project management abilities including
strategic planning, facilitation, financial management, vendor assessment, and
negotiation skills
• Strong customer orientation
• Excellent quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
• Ability to serve as a change agent and influence behavior across departmental
lines and at multiple levels
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including effective delivery
of executive level reports and in-person presentations.
• Successful partnering and collaboration skills
• Skilled at navigating and working with hierarchical and cross-functional
organizations and or teams
