USA Football is seeking a highly motivated person who will serve as a member of the Football Development team and be responsible for assisting with the day to day operations for USA Football’s Heads Up Football program and assist with other football development initiatives.
Specific responsibilities include :
Data Management:
• Manage athlete contact information collected at events
Heads Up Football:
• Assist with basic technical writing and editing using approved curriculum
• Event logistical planning for equipment, materials, and event resources
• Identify local athletic trainers across the country
• Manage Bonzi website for FUNdamental website registration
FUNdamentals
• Assist with basic technical writing and editing using approved curriculum
• Event logistical planning for equipment, materials, and event resources
• Identify local athletic trainers across the country
• Manage Bonzi website for FUNdamental website registration
Football Development Projects :
• Assist with the development of new R&D event models
• Develop and enhance USAFB competitive analysis in areas of coaching education
• Provide support, as assigned
Skills Needed:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills – prior customer service or sales experience a plus
• Organizational skills including ability to handle a high volume of detail-oriented work
• Experience with research work
• Experience in football or event operations, especially advance planning and pre-event logistics, is a plus
• Demonstrated teamwork and work ethic
Notes:
• Interns receive a $750 monthly stipend plus parking allowance
• Internship is 40 hours per week (May-August)
• USA Football supports interns seeking academic credit
• Interns must identify learning goals and work with supervisor to achieve goals
– Examine the organization and its industry/environment
– Analyze and interpret functions and responsibilities
– Observe professionals in various roles and participate with them where appropriate
– Apply academic learning to practical and professional work experiences
– Learn how to perform specific tasks
• Must secure housing and transportation in Indianapolis (USAF can provide housing information)
