PR/EVENT PLANNING INTERNSHIP – Travel Stipend (NYC only) – We work with Universities to award school credit
Manhattan based PR firm representing non-profit and startup clients, seeking intern to engage in all aspects of business, from developing press materials and securing media interviews, to planning and executing fundraisers and special events across the United States. Sponsorships, partnerships, and grant acquisition are a crucial element, in which you will draft proposals and contact potentials. We are located in a brand new, modern office next to Herald Square, accessible by all subway lines.
We have worked with hundreds of media outlets across the country featuring our clients in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, New York Post, New York Daily News, Metro, Huffington Post, Gothamist, The Insider, TMZ, NYSD, InTouch Magazine, OK! Magazine, Star Magazine, Today Show, Good Morning America, Al Jazeera America, Fox & Friends, Bravo, VH1, LXTV, New York NonStop and many more.
START DATE: February 15, 2014 – March 1, 2014
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
– Proven written and oratorical skills
– Excellent research and note taking abilities
– Experience writing press releases and developing media kits a plus
– Prior experience with social media campaigns a plus
– Must have laptop with Word, Excel and Powerpoint
– Must have smart phone with email
– Proficient with Photoshop a plus
– Work 3 days a week (must commit to 3, 8 hour, days of work)
– Must reside in NYC
– Enjoy working with charities
